A faction of Jubilee Party led by Muranga Women Representative Sabina Chege has accused embattled Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni for calling illegal National Executive Meeting without proper consultations from the elected members
Speaking on Friday 15th November, at one of the Jubilee’s Party Headquarters, Sabina termed Kioni as a masquerader representing Jubilee Party even after the Speaker of the National Assembly approved the party as an independent parliamentary
According to MPs, Kioni shared the invitation letters on Thursday 14th, demanding all 24 NEC members appear in person at Jubilee’s Headquarters which is at near State House
“We wish to reaffirm our position that this party is not run by an individual but have laid out structures as established by the law and the party constitution. It’s no one man chest thumbing play ground as Kioni has wished to make it unsuccessfully by both actions and deeds overtime,” Chege party leader Sabina Chege stated.
Chege added that out of 24 NEC members, Kioni has been left with only four elected members, many of whom including Members of Parliament, Senators and Members of County Assembly are behind their faction which is supporting Kenya Kwanza Administration, despite few hitches

“This party now before and in future will belong to our members and the people of Kenya as that is the position of the National Executive Committee. The meeting as called by Kioni scheduled today remains illegall, null and void. Kioni has become one man guitar, sings the song and dances to his own music,” The aggrieved members elicited
In his take, Kitui South Member of Parliament Dr Rachel Nyamai stated that the party is working with government of the day, however, few leaders have continued to cause confusions led by Jeremiah Kioni’s faction
She termed the move by calling NEC meeting as uncalled for since he don’t represent all elected Jubilee Party members and don’t consult ànyone whenever he wants to make an announcements
The faction extended an olive branch to former Ndaragwa lawmaker to join them since their gate is still open to him and any other interested members
Kioni, who has openly joined opposition led by Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, maintains that gone are the days for the party to work with the President William Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza Administration as he accuses the regime entirety
