Eldoret: Married Nurse Shot Dead Over Alleged Love Triangle.

A night out ended in horror at the General Service Unit (GSU) mess compound in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, after 45-year-old nurse Doris Murei Nandi was shot six times in a suspected crime of passion.

Doris, a married health worker, was reportedly drinking at a bar within the camp with another man when she was confronted by Police Constable Nathan Kirwa, the officer with whom she was allegedly in a relationship.

The officer is assigned as a bodyguard to Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim.

The confrontation quickly spiraled out of control, resulting in Kirwa allegedly opening fire on her.

Doris wife to Nelson Kama, was shot six times, sustaining five gunshot wounds to the back and one to the head.

The suspect initially fled the scene, prompting an immediate multi-agency manhunt.

Police subsequently tracked down and arrested Constable Kirwa, recovering the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
