Residents of Museve in Kyangwithya East Ward, Kitui Central Sub-County, can now breathe a sigh of relief after Governor Charity Ngilu today issued them with over 3,000 title deeds.

Speaking during the exercise at Museve market, Ngilu said the initiative was part of her ambitious drive to arm all land owners across the county with the crucial documents.

“I appreciate that lack of title deeds has been a nightmare to majority of our people but that is now a thing of the past,” she affirmed.

The residents thanked the county boss for her servant leadership and affirmed their support for her reelection bid in the August 9th general elections.

“We can’t thank you enough for coming to our rescue. We have stayed without titles deeds since Kenya’s independence. What a huge relief!” said Joyce John after receiving her title deed.

Joseph Mbwika regretted that politicians had over the years used the title deed issue as a campaign tool only to leave them to their own devices post elections.

“Governor Ngilu is an honest and fair leader who always fights for the welfare of her constituents. We will reelect her for continued development,” he emphasized.

The Governor also took the opportunity to intensity her clarion call on the locals and the entire Kamba electorate to rally behind Azimio La Umoja – One Kenya coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

“This is the opportune moment for Kambas to be in the national government. Let’s join and support Raila in his quest for Kenya’s top office,” she appealed.
