Paradise Lost proprietors have accused senior government officials and politicians of grabbing their ancestral land in Kiambu.

Speaking to journalists at Milimani law courts ‎Isaack Gichia Mbugua, a son of the original owner, said the family has owned the land since 1976 when his father purchased it from white settlers.

‎Gichia through lawyers Danstan Omari and Duncan Okatch, maintained the family has remained in lawful occupation and has carried out economic activities on the land over the years.

‎Mbugua linked Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir, Gatundu South MP Elijah Njoroge Kururia and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi to the alleged takeover.

‎ He specifically accused Murkomen of protecting individuals who have allegedly invaded and occupied the land.

‎Meanwhile, Ndunde Investments has filed a case before the Kiambu Environment and Land Court seeking urgent orders to halt what it describes as a fraudulent takeover of the property.

‎The company says it legally acquired the land in the year 2000 and has remained in continuous possession.

It adds that it later obtained approvals to amalgamate the parcels and change land use from agricultural to residential, paving the way for planned subdivision.

‎However, the firm alleges that the defendants orchestrated a fraudulent scheme in which new titles were irregularly created and the land transferred through multiple entities before ending up with Pamat Enterprises Limited.

‎It claims the company then subdivided the land into 281 plots in a bid to dispossess the rightful owner.

‎Ndunde Investments has accused several parties, including land officials, of fraud, illegal title processing and double allocation.

‎It further alleges that in April 2026, individuals linked to Pamat Enterprises invaded the land using armed goons and attempted to assert control, prompting fears of irreparable loss.
