People’s Movement Party Accuses Government Over Fuel Prices

The Political Party associated with the Linda Mwananchi faction of ODM led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has accused of skyrocketing fuel prices beyond reasonable doubts that is affecting millions of Kenyans on their daily activities

While addressing members of the media at their new offices at Riara Valley Gardens in Nairobi, People’s Renaissance Movement interim chairperson Njenga wa Ragu stated that policy missteps has led to heavy taxation, weak oversight and opaque procurement processes. 

While flanked by youthful aspirants, Ragu accused William Ruto led administration of failing Kenyans through also fuel prices, blaming of corruption and maladministration in the systems

He warned that the crisis is driving up transport and food costs, pushing small and medium sized enterprises businesses in to the blink of collapsing, and instead urged urgent interventions including tax relief, public transport subsidies, strategic reserves and greater accountability.

The People Renaissance Party led by interim chair Njenga Waragu during a press briefing in Nairobi. 

They accused the government of misrepresenting Kenyans and allowing policies driven by corrupt groups to oppress Kenyans. 

They are now pressing for urgent tax changes, demanding that the goods and service tax be cut in half to reduce the price of fuel.

Backing his sentiments, Bungoma County Senatorial aspirant urged government to reduce fuel prices and the cost of living to cushion Kenyans from hard hitting and unfavorable economy
