Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced at least over 13,000 primary and secondary school teacher vacancies.
Teachers Service Commission has declared 5,000 teaching vacancies to support the government policy on 100 percent transition of learners from primary to secondary schools and to address the existing teacher shortage gap.
Of the total vacancies, 3,872 posts are for secondary school teachers, 28 for Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs) and 1,000 for primary school tutors
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or http://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 7th July, 2022.
It’s worthy to note that teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.

TSC is also declaring 8,230 vacancies to replace teachers who exited service through natural attrition, with 6,539 posts for primary and 1,691 posts for secondary schools.
To qualify for recruitment as a secondary teacher, a candidate should be a Kenyan, holder of at least a diploma in education and must be a registered teacher with TSC
For TTCs, a candidate must be a Kenyan, holder of at least a Bachelors degree in Education and registered with TSC, while primary school teachers must be a holder of P1 certificate.
TSC says the recruitment guidelines for the 2022/2023 Financial Year will apply.
Similarly, the list of shortlisted candidates, interview dates and venues will be published on the TSC’s website by July 15.
