SOUTH AFRICA, 16th JULY_ South African Afro House sensation Shimza has unveiled his latest project, Sunset in Pretoria EP, a three-track collection celebrating his heritage while reinforcing his growing influence on the global electronic music scene.
Released under his own record label, Kunye Records, the EP arrives at a defining stage in the acclaimed producer and DJ’s career, shortly after launching his residency at the iconic Pacha Ibiza.
The project reflects his journey from Pretoria to international recognition while remaining firmly rooted in South African culture and musical identity.
The EP features three carefully crafted tracks that blend Afro House rhythms with emotional storytelling and rich melodies.
The opening track, Sunset in Pretoria, is a collaboration with French and Dubai-based producer Demayä. Built on atmospheric synths, hypnotic percussion and melodic arrangements, the song captures the beauty of Pretoria’s sunsets while creating an immersive dancefloor experience.
The second track, uMa Wami, brings together Shimza, celebrated producer Jnr SA and vocalist Thatohatsi. The collaboration combines soulful vocals with signature Afro House grooves, highlighting South Africa’s rich musical talent.
