The United Democratic Alliance has called for politicians and members of the public to restrain from hate speech, hooliganism, chaos and instead preach cohesion and peace during todays by election and other upcoming by elections including Ol Kalou parliamentary race
Speaking during the hand over ceremony of UDA nomination certificate to Ol Kalou parliamentary by election winner, Samuel Muchina Nyagah, the UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar called for unity, tolerance telling all the parties involved to stop balkanization and support the current governments programmes and agendas
‘‘Those of us who have been in opposition for quite long knows how it fails when you see the other areas being developed and being represented fully in government. Omar appealed Kenyans to support President William Ruto’s development programmes and projects across the country emphasising that some of the regions have seen tarmac roads, modern markets, stadia and their people benefitted from job opportunities during the current administration.
While supporting the remarks, President William Ruto’s economic advisor and former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria maintained that Ol Kalou and Emurua Dikirr by-elections has nothing to do with smear political campagns and sloganeering but about the real issues that are affecting the common citizens and about stalled projects that needs to completed by the ruling government.

Kuria emphasized the need for the people of Ol Kalou to support the ruling part and to larger extend the government of the day to benefit from the wider scoop of development which president has embarked on countrywide without sidelining any region since he took over the reign of leadership
‘‘I want to tell our brothers that we are much more focussed on delivering to Kenyans not perpetrating empty rhetorics which do not have an agenda. We are going to make sure that we capture the slated by-elections in those vacant constituencies and ward so that we can finish the projects we started before the next general election that will judge our record,’’ Kuria accentuated
Nyandarua County Women Representative Faith Gitau urged the residents to enable the completion of the projects that late legislator David Kiaraho started by electing pro-government candidate during the slated by-election on 26th July, 2026
Gitau stated that for women to access quality health care through social health authority services and last mile electricity connectivity-they must ensure the next member of parliament is supported by the government
‘‘I am begging you please let’s have peaceful campaigns so that our stadium project, hospital project and ongoing construction of modern market can be completed. We have several projects that President William Ruto initiated in this area and am very sure you can’t go the other side which do not have development projects,’’ she appealed.
Immediately after receiving his nomination certificate after successful party primaries, Muchina thanked his constituents for trusting him to run the UDA party slogan among the many contestants who believed in the party’s ideologies and development agenda

Muchina welcomed all the other five aspirants for accepting defeat as he they promised to rally behind him to ensure that he clitches the seat that was left vacant after the demise of David Njuguna Kiaraho who was affiliated to former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.
‘‘I want to thank the party leadership and the people of Ol Kalou for entrusting me with the nomination to fight for the parliamentary seat. I will endeavour to make sure that my people gets government projects and access to quality healthcare,’’ Muchina stated.
The other contestants running up in gears for the vacant seat are Sammy Ngotho of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens Party after he brushed aside requests by the Jubilee party not to field a candidate, which would have given a Jubilee a better chance of retaining the seat previously held by David Kiaraho who died in March, triggering by-election
