Kitui County Roads CECM Eng. Reuben Itiko warns Malombe’s nemesis to keep off politics and support administration serve populace

Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s administration remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the condition of all county roads, CECM Eng. Reuben Itiko has affirmed.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of a well-maintained road network in facilitating efficient mobility and fostering economic growth, the Roads, Public Works and Transport Executive highlighted the County Government’s dedication to regular maintenance and the creation of new routes for enhanced accessibility across Kitui County.

“That’s why we are keen to undertake regular maintenance of our roads and related infrastructure besides opening up new routes to make every corner of Kitui accessible,” noted Eng. Itiko.

He spoke during the site handover for the improvement of Wanzua Kang’au Primary School road off Mutune-Kasyala road and the construction of Kwa Kitali slabs at Kang’au and Wanzua in Ivaini village, Kyangwithya East Ward, Kitui Central Sub County.

He said the scope of works will include earthworks, installation of culverts, spot gravelling and construction of the concrete slabs.

Underscoring the importance of local community cooperation, CEC Itiko urged for support in realizing the project’s success and sustainability.

We are happy that the governor is fulfilling his promises, a resident expressed enthusiastically.

The Roads CEC was accompanied by Kitui Central Sub-County Administrator Stephen Ngesu, local Ward Administrator Alice Kimeu and area Village Administrator Benjamin Munyoki.

Others were Senior Engineer Stephen Kithongo and Resident Engineer Michael King’ondu.
