An elderly woman has petitioned Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Health Aden Duale to come out clearly and pronounce the efficiency of HIV and Aids testing machines currently being used in public hospital.
The agrived lady Millicent Awino through her lawyers Danstan Omari,Martina swiga, cliff Ombeta and Stanley Kinyanjui told journalists at Milimani law courts that their client was subjected to HIV testing in Ulungu dispensary and Usigu health facility in 2023 and was found to be HIV positive.

The lawyers said that their client was put on ARvs on the the grounds that she was HIV positive.
They told journalists that afterwards, her sample were taken to Kenya Medical Research Institution (KEMRI) which later, was found to be of HIV negative.
The lawyers now wants the CS, Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr Oluga Ouma and the Director of KEMRI to come out clearly and state the position of HIV testing Machines in most of public health institutions.

They have now given Health CS, an ultimatum of 14 days to reply to their demand letter, failure to which they will file a constitutional petition seeking several orders against the him (CS) , PS and KEMRI Director.
They (lawyers) also congratulated the spiritual growth of prophet Dr Owuor for assisting Awino to regain her spiritual growth.
