
The National Liberal Party (NLP) has issued an ultimatum to President William Ruto, demanding urgent action over rising insecurity in Mwingi North, while on its tour of the ground to access the situation and stand with / support affected families.
At Nguni Market, Secretary General Omondi K’Oyoo spoke on behalf of Party Leader Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli and read an official press statement calling for the immediate declaration of a national security emergency.

The party cited 14 deaths within a month, including a daylight attack at Kwa Kamari by armed assailants who remain at large. A school child was also killed in Ukasi, disrupting transport and heightening fear among residents.
NLP urged the President to invoke Article 58 of the Constitution of Kenya, deploy the Kenya Defence Forces, arrest the attackers within seven days, and compensate affected families.

While acknowledging ongoing peace efforts, the party insisted justice must accompany dialogue.
Also present were Chairperson Teddy Kenyatta and National Organising Secretary Jemimah Katheeku.
