KITUI:MYSTERY DEATH: Grade 9 Learner Found Dead at Imwamba Water Catchment as DCI Launch Probe

KENGO SUB-LOCATION — Shock and concern have gripped residents after the body of a Grade 9 learner was discovered at Kimuu’s Water Catchment baseline in Kengo Sub-Location, prompting detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to launch a probe.


The discovery of the learner’s body has raised questions over how the young student ended up at the water catchment and what may have happened before the body was found, notwithstanding.

“We are in a drought season and no water within the catchment that could have been associated with the mysterious death as a drowning subject or any other incidentally that could have played part, ” One resident who sought anonymity voiced his concern.


DCI officers were on the ground at the scene on Thursday 6th August, as they began preliminary investigations aimed at piecing together the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death.


The learner is reportedly from Kimuu Comprehensive School, and is believed to have hailed from the family of Mwanzia Mindu, although authorities are yet to release further details concerning the identity of the deceased.


Residents are now awaiting answers as detectives work to establish the sequence of events leading to the discovery of the body.


It remains unclear whether the death was accidental or involved other circumstances, with investigators expected to determine the cause of death and establish whether there was any foul play.


Local administration officials are expected to provide more information as investigations continue.
