Mt Kenya leaders hatches plan to form their political party to push for development should Kenyatta disallows them back to Jubilee Party

Over sixty leaders from Mt Kenya region have requested Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to reconcile with the former President Uhuru Kenyatta before next general election

This has been established during the closing ceremony presided over by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at the Nyeri Club, of the Mt Kenya Golf Festival tournament and awarding of prizes to the winners on Sunday 22nd October .

The political leaders from the 10 counties in Mt Kenya region led by their Governors, professionals and business people hatched of a possible return to the Jubilee Party headed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta

According to the sources, overwhelming members requested Mr Gachagua to reach out to Mr Kenyatta and discuss on the possibilities of being the party leader for the already destabilised Jubilee Party

They are also thinking of coming up with their own party should former President Uhuru Kenyatta decline to allow Mr Gachagua into the party which they will use during the General Election 2027

However, according to the reports is that the political party will be used to front for development projects and chart way forward on economic matters particularly Mt Kenya region

“We believe the current political status and the party we are in will not offer us solutions to some of the problems we are experiencing,” Source told safinews.co.ke under anonymity

Governors hinted that there is need for the people of Mt Kenya to speak in one voice even if some were elected on different political parties
