Members of Parliament from Meru County on yesterday, Thursday 26th asked President William Ruto to fire his Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Moses Kuria over reckless remarks he made yesterday about  Meru people

Speaking at Parliament Buildings on Thursday 26th, the MPs bashed Kuria for trying to get involved with Meru people whireast Members of the County Assembly resoundingly impeached GovernorKawira Mwangaza on Wednesday 25th October

Led by Chairman of Meru County Parliamentarian Caucus Mugambi Rindikiri, said Kuri’s last chance to serve in the public office is now edging over his derogatory and reckless lose mouth remarks despite several warnings in the inner circle

“We know your character, you got only 20,000 votes than even an MCA would get, you were given lucrative ministry by President and you started soliciting money in detriment kenyans. It’s President’s mercy to give you list docket but now you’ve started, it’s the highest time President sacks you to safe his legacy,” Rindikiri narrated

He demanded Kuria to come out and state who is that alleged Mt Kenya  politician [Kingpin] funding the removal of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza and what correlation does he have in Meru politics

Rindikiri noted that Mwangaza has now been impeached twice by MCAs and it is unpalatable for national leaders to start getting involved in county politics while the Senate is there as enshrined in the constitution

By so stating, he meant, Senate should be given their express mandate without intimidation to start the process of removing Mwangaza from office by way of an impeachment without interference by political mafias

On his part, Igembe South Member of Parliament Paul Mwirigi said that they know the meetings Kuria has had at Makutano [Kenol] and the contents of their agenda

He told Kuria to cool his socks and concentrate on national functions if he wants peace with people before they rally behind at National Assembly to call for his resignation or be declared unfit to hold public office

Igembe Central Member of Parliament Rahim Dawoud said that Kuria is better placed in politics but not holding higher office for they have known him in the past

“Don’t force us to start perusing your historical background, we know you were supposed to be a candidate of International Criminal Court [ICC] so please, don’t take us to renew the war,” Rindikiri remarked

Joseph Taitum of Igembe said that Kuri’s statements that he will stand by Kawira Mwangaza while she has been rejected by the entire county populace means he is benefiting from governor’s rejected leadership in a detriment to the Meru people

This comes after 59 members of the county assembly unanimously impeached the governor during Wednesday’s sitting sending another ensuit

Meru County Assembly Speaker Ayub Bundi stated, “it is my pleasure to announce that eyes have it. The motion has been passed and the governor stands impeached by the County Assembly of Meru,”.

This angered Kuria, stating, “I stand with Governor Kawira Mwangaza. This is an 3evil scheme by someone who thinks that the only way to be a Mt Kenya kingpin is to bring down other leaders not to solve the problems of our people who are getting desperate by the day. History will vindicate me.”
