Malombe Urges National Govt’s Support on Roads Network

Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe has reiterated the President William Ruto to consider completing the road network in Kitui County-the Kitui Kibwezi Mbondoni road be completed in good time.

Speaking during the Head of State  thanksgiving service at AIC Kitui township which was held at Kitui Central Primary School, Malombe said that, as people from the region, they will appreciate President’s support on that

“We are requesting you kindly consider completion of the road network in Kitui County-the Kitui Kibwezi Mbondoni road,” Governor  Malombe remarks at Central Primary School church service graced by President Dr William Ruto today.

On matters insecurity at the bordering areas, Malombe said that he has started engaging Tana River Governor  Dhadho Dhodhana to get amicable solution

“I am engaging Governor Godhana Dhadho on the biting insecurity issue within our borders. We are keen to solve this once and for all.

“I also request that you help me fund construction of sand dams in Kitui County. We envisage to do 2400 of them to  support agriculture among our people”. Governor Dr Julius Malombe to President Ruto

He thanked the Head of State for nominating Hon. Penina Malonza to cabinet saying that was commendable. 

“I thank you for honoring us with Tourism Ministry and Foreign affairs docket through my former Deputy Governor whom have mentored and my brother Governor Dr Mutua”. -Governor Dr Malombe to President Ruto

Answering the Governor’s requests, Mr Ruto sais he liked what the governor said on water provision and announced that they will do mega dams and sand dams in the country. 

“We want to ensure our people have water for agriculture and domestic use. This country is  spending sh. 200 billion on importing food. We want to spend money on local agriculture instead and we’ll work with the governors”. President Ruto in Kitui.
