Section of Parliamentarians from lower eastern region have accused President William Ruto for walking back on the promises he made during campaigns last year 2022

Speaking to safinews.co.ke on Sunday 7th May, led by Kitui Central Member of Parliament Makali Mulu, the legislators termed the such as dangerous precedence and rescindal of guilty as sin committed

“We are requesting Ruto to walk the talk, elders don’t give false promises, he told us once he puts Bible down, the price of unga will go down and the cost of living which is not the case so far.

I am exactly doing whatever I promised my people during my campaigns and I can not run away from what I pledge to do,” Makali recounted

He further criticized the government for blocking citizens from exercising their constitutional rights of picketing over aggrieved areas of concern instead of addressing the plight

“What the opposition leaders are doing is enshrined in the constitution, instead of government blocking them and prosecuting them, they should call us and say, `we understand what you addressing in the streets let’s come and solve these problems,” He added

Accompanied by Mwingi West Member of Parliament Charles Nguna, the MPs sought those appointed by President William Ruto tp trickle down developments to the people

“Those position given are meant for development don’t just use them for your own gain, let people feel the government is within them, don’t be seen driving expensive cars and nothing to show to the community,” they advised

Makali declared that he will be running for Kitui County gubernatorial position come 2027 for he is equal to the task following his development track record for the last ten years as a legislator
