Kiamuri, Tharaka Nithi County – The spirit of Christmas came alive over the past two days as 100 families in Kiamuri were treated to food and essential supplies, bringing joy and hope to the local community.
The event, held at Kiamuri Primary School near the Kiamuri market, just past Mitunguu, was collaboration between generous individuals and Kentainers, a leading provider of water and sanitation solutions.
Families received Christmas gifts that included food staples, TM (Unimix), and Nutridense, addressing the immediate nutritional needs of the community. This act of kindness was aimed at uplifting vulnerable families during the festive season, ensuring they had something to celebrate.

The initiative was hosted by the school’s teachers and local community leaders, who played a key role in organizing and coordinating the distribution. Their warm hospitality and dedication to the community created a supportive and welcoming environment for the beneficiaries.
“This was more than just a food drive. It was about spreading love, hope, and togetherness during a season that reminds us to care for one another,” shared Dr. Allan Mugambi , one of the organizers.
In total, 100 families benefited from the initiative, a testament to the power of partnerships and shared purpose. The organizers extended their gratitude to Kentainers for their support in making the outreach a success.
“To God be the glory for enabling us to come together and serve this community,” the organizers added, reflecting on the joy and gratitude expressed by the recipients.
