Kalonzo Musyoka Announces Wiper Gubernatorial Candidates in Ukambani Counties

Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says by Monday 10th, April 2022 he will have completed consensus for three gubernatorial seat.

Speaking on Wednesday 6th April, after meeting gubernatorial aspirants from the three counties in Ukambani, Kalonzo noted the various reasons for his decision.

He vehemently defended his move to issue direct nomination to the most popular candidate in Machakos, Makueni and Kitui county respectively

“I have in the past requested you to reach consensus amongst yourself, it’s with reason because conducting nominations for gubernatorial candidate is too expensive affair for the party,”. Kalonzo noted

The three gubernatorial candidates eyeing the governorship position through Wiper ticket in Kitui county are former Governor Dr Julius Malombe, Kenya’s ambassador to Uganda Kiema Kilonzo and former Kitui senator David Musila

Kalonzo also noted possibility of high chances of manipulation from other candidates from different parties.

Machakos county are former sports ministry’s CAS Wavinya Ndeti, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and former Chief of Staff in the Office of the President Nzioka Waita

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and former KMTC chairman Prof Phillip Kaloki are battling out for wiper party ticket to fly their gubernatorial flag in Makueni county for the August 9th,2022 general election
