President William Ruto has agreed with Israeli’s government to use modern farming technology so as to sustainably drive the huge agricultural transformational agenda in our country.
Speaking while he met the President of Israeli Isaac Herzog at his Residence in Jerusalem; on Tuesday 9th May, Ruto agreed to expand our cooperation in trade, agriculture, security and technology.
“Kenya and Israel have a uniquely strong, deep and warm relationship. We are broadening this friendship — with a special focus on agriculture — to efficiently produce more to feed our people and export the surplus,” President William Ruto noted
He further explored the possibility of Israeli government on tapping the potential space in our blue economy with the focus on fish farming and security expertise
Later in the evening the Head of State is expected to meet the Israeli’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
On his part Israeli’s President Isaac Herzog commended on the Biblical values that Kenya and Israel share in common and hinted on using the same principles of Christianity in establishing strong mutual bilateral engagements
“I am deeply happy, we have shared the common stories we read in our Bibles, truly Kenya and Israeli have come a long way and one thing in common, we shall constructively tap what can strengthens our two countries inextricable,” Herzog pointed
The Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks on removing travel barriers experienced by both nationals and introducing direct planes to Israeli were received warmly by President William Ruto together with his delegation
Netanyahu also assured kenyans that Israeli government will offer support to our security agencies especially on combating terrorism and weeding out criminal elements in the country
