Ford-K Members of Parliament have now demanded Treasury Cabinet Secretary Prof Njuguna Ndugu to immediately release NG-CDF before they lobby for his removal from office

Addressing Press at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday 10th January 2024, the legislators accused CS over delayed disbursements of NG-CDF money which benefits 80 percent of school learners

“80% of our students in schools relies  on CDF bursary, already some heads of schools have started sending students back home because they lack school fees.

Treasury CS had promised parliament to release the money before December, he then told us before Christmas will release the monies.

When we questioned about the consequences of the learning activities he said will release the money before schools reopen on January 2024,” Ford-K Secretary General Dr John Chikati stated

The MPs accused Njuguna of knowing too much English and Finance jargon rather than implementing government’s agendas of 100 percent transition to secondary schools

Webuye East MP Martin Pepela criticised Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen for not completing stalled projects in Bungoma County

“We respect President but allow us to deal with this rogue ministers who don’t want to deliver for our country. As of now, people of Bungoma don’t expect Murkomen to address about the stalled projects

He should have now completed them and started initiating other new projects,” Pepela remarked

The MP noted that even after having several meetings with the CS, nothing is forthcoming

Charged to Murkomen’s running of the Ministry, Pepela said that Bungoma got only 20 million shillings out of many millions from KeRRA and they have the right for their areas to be developed like in Muranga and other regions
