Governor Sakaja Opens Revamped Dandora Land Registry

Nairobi, 10th July 2023- Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has officiated the reopening of the upgraded and revamped Dandora Land Registry

The registry will serve Nairobi residents in specific regions including; Embakasi North, Embakasi West, Embakasi Central and Kasarani.

Rehabilitation of the facility begun in June, 2023 after decades of neglection since it’s construction in 1975.

The revamped facility will offer records officer a more orderly and dignified space to work, making it easier to find records.

“It will help in decongesting City Hall and enhance effective and timely service to the people”, Sakaja said.

The Governor directed installation of CCTV to enhance security in handling the files.

The facility has a capacity of 50,000 files and digitization is expected to begin soon.

At the event, the Governor revealed that his administration has already issued 2000 titles to land owners in Nairobi including for 45 schools.
