Thika: Man Cooked to Death Inside a Boiler

  • A 25 year old man was yesterday Saturday, 26th March, 2022 cooked to death inside a boiler at Blue Nile Factory in Thika.
  • A man by the name Caleb Otieno, died yesterday evening immediately after he was trapped in a steel manufacturing facility in Kiambu County.

According to eye witnesses and what has shocked many is that, none of Caleb’s body parts recovered for his entire body had been smashed and mixed with the boiler’s fluid.

His brother John Agwambo told safinews.co.ke that his brother had worked at the facility for at least seven years performing normal chores.

The deceased was trying to retrieve his gloves from some debris inside an operation area where the family was allowed to visit for a fact finding mission.

The family now led by Agwambo has blamed lack of safety regulations for his brother’s death.

They have since logged the issue with the factory management for hiding information about the incident and urged relevant government agencies to promptly intervene and shutdown operations of the said company until safety standards are met to avert further incidents.

They demand justice to be prevailed without an iota of delays.
