Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has re-appointed Mr Alfred Obuya Obengo to the Board of Directors of the Pumwani Nursing School, reaffirming confidence in his leadership and experience in the health sector.
This is after a protracted contest by opponents who were attempting to discredit Obengo’s leadership capabilities surpassing mere political gimmicks and empty talks.
In a related development, Mr Obengo has also been deployed to the Ministry of Health headquarters, where he will serve as a Technical Assistant to the Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr Ouna Oluga.
The move is expected to strengthen coordination between training institutions and national health policy implementation.
The dual roles position Mr Obengo at both institutional and national levels, a development seen as key in supporting ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and workforce training in the country.
