High Court has granted an application of  extra affidavit from the family of the missing Della Ward MCA Yussuf Hussein swearing that the then acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli visited him four days to his  disappearance

While submitting the affidavit, family’s lawyer Danstan Omari, disclosed that they received the letter as of yesterday 24th September, that Ag IG and DCI attended the subject matter on 9th September, 2024 at his home in Wajir County

“The subject matter was a man of interest by police, there are incidents that are directly linked to the police because he was summoned by the Wajir County Commissioner to appear in person at their office on 8th September, 2024 .

We received the information yesterday about this meeting, he attended the meeting but the agenda for the invitation is not clear apart from they wanted to discuss matters touching on security within the county,” Omari stated

“There are bearing pieces of 9th September, 2024 and 13th September, 2024 when he disappeared,” Omari added

Earlier, there were reports that Hussein’s body was found dumped in Wajir, where the family hired private pathologist who after the autopsy which was done on 21st October, revealed that the body is not for the missing subject

We have confirmed the report from government analysts dated 24th October 2024 affirming the report by Kemri and therefore the subject is somewhere and the entity that is supposed to produce him whether alive or dead is in this court representing police and therefore they shouldn’t say they don’t have the subject in their custody,” Family’s Lawyer Samuel Nyaberi stated
