Kitui Central Member of Parliament Honourable Doctor Benson Makali Mulu has told constituents to visit his National Government Constituency Development Fund Manager Mr Kinyalili for listing of power connectivity programme
Speaking on Thursday 9th February, Makali told all residents in need of power connectivity in their respective households, to visit the NG-CDF manager for purposes of listing down the names of the families requiring the electrical transformers from Kenya Power and Lighting Company [KPLC]
“If you don’t have stima in your houses, my office has prioritised it as one of the much needed services in the society, so those who wants my office to buy them electric transformers please visit my manager, he shall list down the names for budgeting purposes.
I want by the next three years in my leadership, each and every household should have electricity connectivity, unless one doesn’t need power,” Makali emphasised.
He reminded the residents that government does not cater for power bills for residential homes and houses, he said. “what the government does is to facilitate for Kenya Power and Lighting Company to erect transmissions lines near communities, from there, one (an individual) can apply for meter number from KPLC and you test, once you pay, the meter box is installed in your house and then connected to one electric transformer near you”.
The third term transformational legislature who many voters has nicknamed him as the father of development following his track record in constructions and rehabilitations of public schools misses no word on caring for the downtrodden society
“And if you know anyone [homes] in need of an electricity and the transformers are a bit far away, just come, tell my CDF manager, for we don’t want anyone to lose the golden opportunity this financial year, when am budgeting for them,” He reiterated.
