
The high court has issued interim orders barring a Kenya Defence Forces officer from issuing threats to the the family of a business lady.
The court sitting in Nakuru issued the orders barring captain Edwin Muthomi Kaunga from directly or indirectly from harassing Nyokabi Mugweru or her family.
They directed officer commanding station Nakuru police station to ensure the orders are complied with pending the hearing and determination filed by the aggrieved woman Nyokabi.
The trial court directed that the application be served upon the respondent and the matter be heard inter parties on July 7.
The KDF officer is in remand prison facing a murder charge against Ann Mugweru.
Former Nairobi county governor has been enjoined in the proceedings as an interested party.
According to the court documents, the threats were made through a mobile phone number allegedly used from the prison.
Nyokabi further alleged that the caller identifying himself as Edwin had contacted various relatives and threatened the child of the deceased.
