Ruto jokingly mocked Kenyans for calling him zakayo, stating that the person named so in the Bible got born again and he’s sure that will go to heaven unlike his critics who might never see the gates of heaven

He additionally, admitted that youthful Kenyans calling him `kasongo’, do not know how soothing that song was when it’s sung in a slow beats especially before the men of his age

Kasongo’ is the title of a popular song originally performed by Super Mazembe, a Kenyan soukous band that originated from Zaire(now DR Congo) in 1967.

The song has recently been reinterpreted by social media creatives in Kenya, who have infused it with satirical lyrics targeted at Kenya’s political leadership.

Kalonzo stated that the Movement will declare June 25, or J25—the day of true liberation when our young people fought against injustices, saying No! to abductions, saying No! to stealing our resources, and saying No! to suppressing our people. This Movement will declare June 25 a Public Holiday.

“Thank you once again @MarthaKarua for standing strong. We will continue to walk with you in our selfless and determined march to unite and liberate our beloved Kenya from Kasongo,” Kalonzo stated fearlessly
