Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition has faulted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for the remarks that certain regions will get a stake from the government compared to others.
Raila noted that such utterances from the second in command is aimed at sidelining Kenyans from the government and draining the gains for democracy
He also took swipe on the appointments for Principal Secretaries, terming it skewed lacking equal representation for the regional balance.
He further, accused the government for not sharing equally the taxpayer’s money when it comes to distribution of resources and human capital
He spoke on Tuesday 21st February in Kitui during the send-off ceremony of Prof Makau Mutua’s late brother, Gabriel Wambua Mutua at Mutuni Village, Kyangwithya East Ward in Kitui Central Sub County.
Elsewhere, former Chairman of National Nurses’ Association of Kenya Dr Alfred Obengo has reminisced that all Kenyans have equal rights to be given opportunities to serve in the government
`There is no crime and its not a sin for any Kenyan to explore and seize opportunities available within the government. Even Raila is looking for the same opportunities,’’ Alfred Obengo
Obengo, pointed out that, no right thinking person should be agitated just because a fellow Kenyan has been given a chance to serve in Kenya Kwanza Administration, for that signifies Kenya’s mature democracy.
Interesting, was Narck-Kenya party leader who was Raila’s running mate Martha Karua maintained that their faction won the last year’s August polls election
Their sentiments were echoed by Kitui County Senator Enock Wambua who asked the government to address the cost of living and other purturbing issues as well as ensuring all kenyans are treated equally regardless of where they voted for on August polls
