- Mulu wants Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to respect the Kamba Nation
- He says Gachagua’s utterances were unwelcome to the community thus should weigh how to persuade them
- The candid legislator informed Kenyans to prepare for fuel increase as KK gov’t dances same tune as previous regime
Kitui Central Member of Parliament Edith Dr Makali Mulu on Wednesday 23rd August, demanded Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to respect the Kamba community if he wants to persuade them in 2027 General election
Speaking on national television, during daybreak show, Makali termed Gachagua’s remarks during the burial ceremony of Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka alias Kawaya’s late mother were unfortunate to an extend he don’t regard the Kamba Nation
“That kind of lecture coming from the DP of this country, we would take it lightly, we demand respect from him and you could see the mood of the people, the reactions of the people were not happy.
However, the kind of things he was saying telling us, while it might be making sense or not but you are telling the people in a very wrong place,” Makali observed
The vocal legislator added that kamba is the fifth largest community in the country and has majority of Members of Parliament so respect should be reciprocated
“Our position for voting Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition largely should be respected, it’s our democracy to vote in either party. Let him [Gachagua] find another time and go try whether he will convince our people,” He added
It is unfortunate that a whole Deputy President would lecture the Kamba community during a burial in Machakos County. We are one of the largest communities in this country and we demand respect
Dr Makali, who has been showing interests for gubernatorial position come 2027 in Kitui County, sur.veilled Kenyans should prepare to pay over Ksh.200 for petrol in the next two months.
“The Kenya Kwanza government is doing exactly what the Jubilee government was doing, but they want to lie to Kenyans using different terminologies,” Makali who has been candid on matters economics stated
Mr Gachagua disclosed that President William Ruto and him rejected all the demands Azimio Leader Raila Odinga wanted from them and they only offered him money to go and retire
In a jovial statement, Gachagua told Kamba community to be careful with Raila Odinga’s politics that he is wasting Kamba’s kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka’s time at Bomas of Kenya having bipartisan talks with younger people like National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa who are not equal to him
