Minutes after Morara arrived at Bomas of Kenya, requested for a microphone to address the attendees but was denied

Morara has been candid demanding both President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua to be impeached altogether

Moments later, chaos erupted as unknown assailants began throwing chairs at Morara, who appeared seated calmly while those around him tried to shield the younger vocal activist

Some of the event handlers were heard advising him not to disrupt the public participation in session. At another point, they urged attendees to maintain and remain in order  

“We will not allow you to disrupt this session, everyone is entitled for his or her opinion,” one of the event handler was quoted saying. 

Morara was thereafter seen seeking refuge in one of the corner of the building before he was quickly escorted for safety reasons

The activist took to his X account to share his side of the story stating that he faced challenges entering the Bomas of Kenya because he’d been denied access. 

While discussing the attack, he said it began shortly after he was denied an opportunity to speak to the congregants 

In the melee, Morara disclosed that he was injured and was on his way to hospital for medical treatment.

“I was barred from entering Bomas of Kenya at the gate. When I finally got in, i was denied the mic at BOMAS floor.  Chaes erupted. I am hurt. Headed to Hospital. I live to speak another day,” Morara statement read in part.
