President William Ruto has hilariously told embattled ODM Members of Parliament that their star is shining for receiving disciplinary letter

Ruto told the MPs that they are on the right path for he also received a disciplinary letter when he was Deputy Leader for the Party

He went on to add that he ended up battling ODM in court for five years till he became the Deputy President in 2013.

“I also received a letter from the party’s disciplinary committee. And if you see that you have received such a letter from ODM, that is when you know you are on the right path. 

“If you haven’t received that letter you have a long way to go,” he reminiscent.  

He noted that the party was attempting to oust him thus a court battle ensued. 

Ruto told the MPs who have been branded as rebels that one’s political career starts flourishing once they are summoned by the ODM party disciplinary committee. 

He urged them to relax, adding that their tribulation is part of the leadership journey.  

Among the ODM rebel MPs who were present at the event was Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwour alias Jalang’o who had pleaded with Ruto to come to his rescue as he is set to appear before the ODM disciplinary committee on Wednesday. 

Jalang’o said his biggest crime as he appears before the committee is that he is a friend to the President. 

“I know you are a friend to Baba (Raila Odinga) and you guys talk. Please talk to him because looking at others who are facing similar charges are the likes of Ojienda, who happens to be a lawyer. Jamani wasinimalize kama uko,” Jalang’o jokingly but seriously emphasised. 

Others who are on the fumigation process by ODM are Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Paul Abuor (Rongo) and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda who were all present at the event graced by Dr Ruto.  

They spoke on Saturday, 15th July, during the homecoming ceremony of Interior PS Raymond Omollo at Oriwo Boys High School in Homabay
