Nandi Senator Samson Kiprotich Cherargei has yet again come out gun blazing accusing the Transport and Roads Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen of incompetence and also lying to Kenyans.

Addressing journalists at Parliament on Monday 11th December, Cherargey alleged yesterday’s power blackout at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was a national threat and Transport, Roads and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen ought to apologise to the nation

The duo have been embroiled in a bitter exchange of words with senator accusing the CS over incompetence who has in return sued him over defamation

In a quick response to the civil case filed at Milimani Law Courts, Cherargey vowed to fight Murkomen on the bed, under the bed, on air, on ground and over the seas

He stated that the last time the power went out at JKIA, Murkomen had promised to fix the problem but yesterday happenings proved otherwise

He implored Murkomen not to form a committee to investigate the yesterday’s incident the same way he did with the leaking roofs of the airport

“A few months ago in August, CS Transport Murkomen went to JKIA, fired individuals, told the country that the generators had been fixed but yesterday was a disaster.

How can you lose electricity and generators at a national critical infrastructure like the JKIA? I think a minister must apologise for lying to Kenyans the generators were working yet he knew very well they were not working.” The Senator said.
