Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has bowed to the pressure of County Assembly Members and invited them for a consultative meeting on Thursday 3rd, November 2022
According to a letter seen by safinews.co.ke, on Tuesday 1st, November, Mwangaza has invited all MCAs including Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi and Tigania East MP Mpuri Aburi
In a truce brokered by Council of Governors Chairlady, Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru, sought the meru leaders to end the stalemate that has paralysed smooth running of operations
Waiguru had called Governor Mwangaza to meet Members of County Assembly together with other elected leaders to discuss the grey areas that has been in the recent past made her relationship with MCAs in limbo

Members of County Assembly had accused Kawira Mwangaza of disrespecting them, ignoring to have a meeting with them and failing to discuss issues of Ward Development Fund
They [MCAs] had also accused the governor for involving her husband Murega Baichu in county administration where the duo distanced the claims terming them gender based violence meant to sculter their marriage

It was evident when the MCAs walked out of Mwangaza’s third county opening session and left a lone addressing empty seats and procedural clerks
