Malombe’s Goodies Leaves Kitui Employees Happy Lot

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has today said his administration will progressively implement his commitments and deliver development for the people of Kitui for improvement of their livelihoods and living standards.

In his maiden speech to the county employees at Ithookwe Showgrounds in Kitui Central, Governor Dr Malombe said his government will oversee responsible budgeting to realize sustainable development, ensure equitable development across the county, administer fairness to the people of Kitui, ensure accountability in revenue collection, focus on prompt payment to suppliers and contractors, ensure non-tolerance to corruption and observe the rule of law with an aim to deliver his 16 point manifesto.

Governor Malombe also warned county employees against corruption, saying those who will be implicated will face the full force of the law.

The governor asked county staff to adhere to the Chapter Six of the constitution on Integrity saying his government will put in place proper measures to tame graft so as to realize his plan for the people of Kitui.

My administration will not condone any form of corruption, we have a duty to prosper this county through a transparent and accountable manner. I urge you to commit to service delivery diligently”. Governor Malombe said.

Governor Malombe expressed commitment to improving the livelihood of the people of Kitui in his first 100 days in office to reach the “ambitious” residents eager to benefit from the devolution works.

He cited quality and affordable healthcare, easy access to clean water, improving infrastructure and youth empowerment, infrastructure and urban development as some of the key areas of growth to be addressed.

Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua Kanani and other members of the cabinet were present.

Thousands of employees showed up at the key ceremony.
