Former Machakos Senatorial Aspirant Henry Kioko has blasted Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu for spreading rumours that the former was apprehended by police and put into behind the bars
In a video clip doing rounds on social media platforms on Monday 16th January, Kioko who was touring the neighbouring county of Kitui, told Kavindu off, and be ready for political war
“Kavindu is lying to people that have been arrested, this is is baseless, you can’t go to Senate and keep quite!. The people of Machakos are not fools, and am telling you for a fact, brace yourself for a fight we don’t fear anything,” Vocal politician stated
He told her to be warned that the theatrics and tantrums she is using will never work and that they are collecting signatures for a recall as the two years nears as per the constitution of kenya
Carlos, who is the immediate former Machakos Tourism and Sports Chief Officer during Alfred Mutua’s reign, vied for senatorial position but lost to Kavindu.
However, he told safinews.co.ke that he has now confirmed that he has known the people of Machakos loves him dearly and would collect signatures for recalling Kavindu on March, 2023
“I have received many calls from friends, lawyers and all the people of Machakos telling me what Kavindu is alluding into, in fact have known that am most loved.
Six months will be ending on March for Article 104 on recalling elected senators to take effect, thereby we will be advocating for her recalling from Senate Assembly, we shall have by-election on July 2023″ vibrant civic educator maintained.
Moreover, he has in the recent past, been vocal even criticising Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, over the process of hiring county officers
According to the aspirant, apart from Wavinya recruiting county officers and the ministers unprocedurally- without proper constituted county public service board- she was accused of soliciting money from the applicants to bribe members of county assembly for approval
Nonetheless, he made it clear that he is well protected and nobody who can harm him since is still serving police officer and armed in all the four corners
Mr Kioko, had camped in Kitui county to meet Governor Dr Julius Malombe as well as collecting information on how tje people of Kitui have converted locally produced honey into social enterprise
“I am impressed to find out that social enterprises like honey can add value addition where it has been converted into an exportable products like `kaluvu’ tomatoes have produced tomotoe sauces and many other finished products,” He added.
