The family moved to court demanding immediate release of their son after close to two months since abduction
The DNA tests (autopsy) conducted by family pathologist revealed negative results hence piling the pressure to the main suspect
High Court has granted an application of extra affidavit from the family of the missing Della Ward MCA Yussuf Hussein swearing that the then acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli visited him four days to his disappearance
While submitting the affidavit, family’s lawyer Danstan Omari, disclosed that they received the letter as of yesterday 24th September, that Ag IG and DCI attended the subject matter on 9th September, 2024 at his home in Wajir County
“The subject matter was a man of interest by police, there are incidents that are directly linked to the police because he was summoned by the Wajir County Commissioner to appear in person at their office on 8th September, 2024 .
We received the information yesterday about this meeting, he attended the meeting but the agenda for the invitation is not clear apart from they wanted to discuss matters touching on security within the county,” Omari stated

The counsel disclosed that they have video recording from the meeting between the Ag Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli and Director of Criminal Investigation which will be played on Monday 28th September when the court will make the ruling
“There are bearing pieces of 9th September, 2024 and 13th September, 2024 when he disappeared,” Omari added
Earlier, there were reports that Hussein’s body was found dumped in Wajir, where the family hired private pathologist who after the autopsy which was done on 21st October, revealed that the body is not for the missing subject
We have confirmed the report from government analysts dated 24th October 2024 affirming the report by Kemri and therefore the subject is somewhere and the entity that is supposed to produce him whether alive or dead is in this court representing police and therefore they shouldn’t say they don’t have the subject in their custody,” Family’s Lawyer Samuel Nyaberi stated

Both counsel urged the high court which is bestowed the powers of the constitution to issue decree order for the suspect to produce the subject alive or dead, this weekend before the ruling is made
High Court Judge Alexander Muteti has directed that the ruling will be done virtually on Monday, 28th November 2024
