The Senate Deputy Minority Leader Enock Wambua was responding to the resident’s concerns of pathetic conditions at the facility

He issued a polite warning message to the Kitui County Administration to release the funds for renovation and ensure its adequately equipped with drugs and health personnel

However, unconfirmed reports from the Governor Malombe’s administration is that the facility is budgeted and scheduled for renovation in this fiscal year

In a passionate plea for improved healthcare services, Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua, Deputy Minority Leader in the Senate and representative of Kitui County , visited Musovo Dispensary in Nguni ward, Mwingi Central Constituency on Friday, January 19th, 2024.

The neglected state of Musovo Dispensary had been a cause for concern among the local residents, prompting Senator Enoch Wambua to make an impromptu oversight visit to assess the facility’s condition.

The dispensary, which stands as a structure, has been inactive and lacking essential resources for an extended period, leaving the community grappling with health challenges.

During his visit, Hon. Enoch Wambua emphasized the urgent need for the County Government of Kitui to undertake comprehensive renovations, fencing, and equipping of Musovo Dispensary.

The senator stressed the importance of providing the health facility with the necessary pharmaceuticals and trained personnel to ensure its operationalization.

“I have been quite for the whole of last year 2023 and some months after election to 2023. I was watching while keeping silent even though we made some communication about this dispensary with the department of health in futile.

Therefore, have made resolutions that will not keep quite, it’s not a fight but I will do what necessary, my office has made several calls sometimes goes unanswered but this time round they shall look for us for what they shall see,” Senator Kioo issued a polite warning message to the county government of Kitui headed by Dr Julius Malombe

In a quick response, Malombe’s die-hards lambasted area Senator, calling him to reach the governor over the above matters instead of addressing him atbys

“Senator Kiio should visit all Kitui health facilities, call media and thank Governor Malombe for good work

If the senator genuinely  wanted the Musovo hospital to be renovated and some officers be deployed there..he should have reached the GVN instead of him addressing him through the media,” A supporter branding himself as Kinuko 96.5 FM commented.

He alluded that what Kiio is talking on is what exactly Governor Malombe has planned to do

According to him, the hospital in question stalled since 2010 when former Kitui Senator David Musila was the area Member of Parliament.

“Senator was elected 2017 & he never visited the hospital during the Ngilu regime. Why? The hospital has already been factored in financial year 2023-2024 budget for completion and stuffing.

Malombe knows what he is doing and no leader should pretend to have pushed him to do something,” he added

They implored for Senator Kiio to tour all the other health facilities in the county and instead praise governor Malombe for good work through his media team.
