Tharaka Nithi Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki says he would take a break from elective leadership politics as from August 10th, 2022.
This is after UDA party on Sunday 15th, May replaced his Deputy Presidential Candidature with Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua
Addressing Journalists on Tuesday 16th at Tamarind Tree Hotel, Nairobi, Kithure said he will not even take up any appointment by Kenya Kwanza Alliance Government

“Having won in the electoral college and party vouching, there were other factors to consider and after all considerations were made, my name was removed in favour of my brother Gachagua. I wish him all the best.
Kithure said having a legal career to protect and a country to serve in other jurisdiction, he will reflect deeply in his heart and find a solution emphasizing that politics indeed not a fair game.

“My attempts to ascend to the higher national elective leadership position have failed yesterday, I have made a decision within myself to take a break from active politics as from August 10th, 2022.
But, I will use the break to reorganize myself as I continue fully supporting my party UDA and Kenya Kwanza administration upon assuming the office,” He concluded.
