Deputy President William Ruto has announced Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate after seventeen hours of extensive meeting since from yesterday
The much anticipated announcements came immediately after today’s church service at 13.10PM, Sunday 15th, May 2022.
“There has been lengthy deliberations, consultations and discussions about the running mate stalemate, acknowledging Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro for wise input about the nation,” DP Ruto said
Kindiki has conspicuously missed today’s major announcement after being short-changed with Rigathi Gachagua
Even after Ruto poured many accolades about Gachagua that didn’t go down well with Tharaka Nithi residents
The exact time had been announced by the Ruto’s director of communications Hussein Mohammed at about one hour after yesterday midnight, 1am of Sunday morning, 15th, 2022.
Safi News has established that, DP Ruto had settled on Tharaka Nithi Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki after being voted in by the majority of his team at Karen residence yesterday but Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua protested
DP has released the names from representative parties who will help in formulation of economic bottom-up model
Ann Waiguru, Moses Kuria, Mutai Kahiga, Mwangi Kiunjuri, Alice Wahome and Patrick Maritu will oversee leadership in Mt Kenya region
Johnstone Muthama, Jonathan Mweke and Peninah Malonza will oversee south estern region
Sources intimidated that the DP was being assisted by other part leaders including ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula of Ford-K, Maendeleo Chap Chap Leader Alfred Mutua and TSP leader Mwangi Kiunjuri
Taking to his social media platform, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria had accused the four possible running mates for not preferring Gachagua during the Karen Residence voting of the best DP’s pair
Kuria, said that ten years that Mt Kenya region will stay without a leader is supposed to have someone of Gachagua’s calibre and political octane who will be groomed in the next government if they win the August polls
According to Moses Kuria is that Gachagua is the best bet to be groomed for top seat after ten years, from the popular counties of Mt Kenya region
Back at Kindiki’s home, residents have expressed their dissatisfactions that their son didn’t make it after playing the most important key roles in formation of the UDA Party and legal part starting way back during Ruto’s trial case by ICC
