Former Machakos Tourism and Sports Chief Officer Henry Carlos Kioko has called on Governor Wavinya Ndeti to address water scarcity within Machakos town and stop taking the people for granted

In a press statement warning the Governor over dire consequences on Tuesday 17th January, Carlos, stated, that, Wavinya would serve one term if she fails to provide clean water for Machakos township

He further bashed Mrs Wavinya Ndeti of failing to allocate budget for Maruba dam which would have mitigated the water shortages in Machakos County

“Machakos town water shortage is so painful. People of machakos are suffering and the governor is not concerned at all,’’ Carlos stated.

The aggrieved senatorial racer questioned what the governor is doing to expand Maruba Dam, which according to residents of machakos, would have addressed the water shortages once and for all

“Checking the recently approved supplementary budget, Maruba Dam has not been allocated a single coin, we suppose it’s until the next Water and Irrigation Permanent Secretary Dr Kipronoh Ronoh visists in Machakos,’’He added
