Deputy President told Kenyans to start getting use of his name despite funny jokes he has been making in national functions.
He accused media for exaggerating some of his comments unnecessarily, telling them to pick at least what’s best from him
Gachagua, again made other chilling jokes by warning Uasin Gishu residents to avoid spoiling central MPs with goodies once they visit the region
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has told Kenyans to start getting use of his name or rather get experiencing him and make good use of the position he holds.
Speaking on Sunday 9th October, during thanksgiving service in a church at Koilel, Ainabkoi constituency in Uasin Gishu County, Gachagua pointed figures on mainstream media for exaggerating some of his comments and making them memes unnecessarily
“We want to tell people the truth, am a Christian and can’t tell lies, either you blame my late parents for instilling discipline of truth in me. Those who have got problem with us telling the truth then anzeni kuzoea kukaa na kiongozi wenu, lazima tuseme ukweli, hii mambo ya kushika watu ijumaa na kuwaachilia Monday lazima tungeongea.
Lazima tuambieni ukweli, kukosea magavana heshima ukitumia makaunti commissioners na mapolisi hatutakubali na mimi sikusema vibaya, kazi ya machifu, MaDO na MaDC sio kusumbua viongozi walioteuliwa na hakuna mishahara ambayo eti walikuwa wanaongezewa,” He questioned rhetorically.
Gachagua promised the administrators and police that they will increase their salaries and allowances as well as making good working environment for them
He also expressed gratitude to the people of Eldoret for coming out in large numbers to vote for the Kenya Kwanza coalition as well as maintaining peace and trust in God
“William Ruto na mimi na wakenya wote tunatoa shukrani na tunasema jina la mwenyezi Mungu litukuzwe, wakati mwingi tulipitia magumu lakini Ruto akatufariji hata baada ya kutumia pesa yake kuweka mafuta ya gari, leo kijana ambaye alikuwa anauza kuku leo hii ni Rais wa Kenya.
Mimi nilikiwa nimepagiwa kwenda kamiti maximum prison lakini leo nimekuwa naibu wa rais na mmenipatia mshahara, unajua wakati mwingine tunaketi na Ruto mpaka tunakosa kuamini kama ni sisi mmetupatia hii kazi, ’’ Gachagua emphasised.
At the same time, Gachagua assured Uasin Gishu people that they will revive the Arror and Kimwarer dam project because it was politicised by the previous administration just to taint the name of the then Deputy President, the current President William Ruto.
He said that the papers which were spread out during the election period, profiling one tribe against the natives of Eldoret were all about politics and wishes to thank them (native) for their political tolerance

Nevertheless, Gachagua made another jokes telling Kalenjins not to gift Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichungw’a with another cow for they will be spoiled while they are still younger in politics
“Naona mmenipea ng’ombe so nitakuwa nakuja hapa kila mwezi ndio nikuwe na ng’ombe kumi na mbili kwa mwaka, sio? Lakini nawaomba msipee hawa vijana wangu Nyoro na Ichung’wa ng’ombe wengine kwasababu wataharibika, bado wao ni vijana” Gachagua made another chilling jokes
The Deputy President told Kenyans that all the promises they made during campaigns shall all be implemented under the Kenya Kwanza administration
On a quick rejoinder, the designate Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and urban development Kipchumba Murkomen thanked the government for reducing the prices of fertilizers which has guaranteed farmers with hope to the current regime
