Tanzanian Gospel Artist Christina Shusho praised of her mastery in picking rhythmical and lyrical scriptures from Bible verses without distorting the message

Christina Shusho started trending in Kenya after a video showed how she composed her Shusha Nyavu hit

Many were surprised to learn that the songstress picked her lyrics straight from the Bible

The video sparked a debate as Kenyans praised her timeless music, as others took a keen interest in her looks

It all started when a video showed where she got the lyrics for her song Shusha Nyavu.

Shusho sings about Jesus looking for disciples and finding Simon Peter in the Lake of Galilee.

Jesus instructed Simon to cast the nets, but the fisherman told him they had not gotten any despite fishing through the night.

Shusho took the exact words from Luke Chapter 5, verse 4, to make her song lyrics.

“Yesu alipokwisha kunena, alimwambia Simoni, tweka mpaka kilindini, mkashushe nyavu zenu Bwana mkubwa tumefanya kazi ya kuchosha usiku kucha, Bwana mkubwa tumefanya kazi ata tusipate kitu,” sings Shusho.

However, Jesus instructed Simon to cast the net and caught so many fish.

“And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships so that they began to sink,” the Bible says.

Kenyans were impressed to see Shusho directly quote the Bible.

Others jumped at the opportunity to praise her beauty.

Here are some of the reactions: @kimrobstan: “I am surprised you guys are surprised. This is how gospel music is supposed to be. Sing from the scriptures.”

@Makiadi

She’s a genius

Christina Shusho will be testifying in church tomorrow of how favor has located her and made her trend in Kenya and it is okay, she can say whatever she wants!

@GideonKimaiyo

This is how gospel music is supposed to be: singing directly from the scriptures, teaching people the profound messages of the Bible. It’s a creative harmony that Atheists, however, are labeling as plagiarism in the case of Christina Shusho 😅
