Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to have handshake with deputy president William Ruto before next general election on August 9th, 2022
Speaking yesterday at a function in Kirinyaga county, Waiguru said there has been bad blood between the people of rift valley and the people of Mt Kenya region and only handshake will mitigate
“Mr President, I want to request you please, please for you to enjoy peaceful retirement benefits,” Waiguru observed
The governor who is contesting for her second term said people of Mt Kenya region are now confused and they want leave peacefully with others
“These people you see here, they don’t know who to follow because you have not guided them properly, we want to exist peacefully with others, so please find truce with your deputy president,” Waiguru added
She says only handshake will heal the sores of division planted by government machineries against those allied to deputy president William Ruto
