The University of Nairobi has come out gun blazing that the Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja did not graduate from the campus as he has been claiming at the parliamentary precincts and outside parliament
According to the public notice letter issued on Friday 3rd June, and seen by safinews.co.ke, is that Sakaja should not be allowed to continue lying to government institutions and public at large
“The University of Nairobi wishes to notify members of the public that Johnson Sakaja did not graduate from this institution as he alleges.
The University earlier issued a statement and it was clear on the matter, that the person in question did not complete his studies,” Part of the letter read.
The giant african institution further issues the warning to Mr Sakaja not to present to the IEBC, or any other body, fake academic papers purporting to have been acquired from the very distinguished campus
“We wish to remind Mr Sakaja that forgery is punishable by law and attracts a jail term of not less than 15 years,” It added.
Earlier, Sakaja, speaking to bold and authoritative safinews.co.ke, said that he had finished his form four certificate at Lenana Boys where they schooled together with Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir and he proceeded to University of Nairobi for his bachelor’s degree
He, categorically, distanced allegations that our desk had privy of at parliament buildings, insinuating or purporting that he left the said campus in the second year and he never returned back to complete his studies
“I just cleared and picked my certificates when i was the Chairman of The National Alliance party (TNA) and nobody who raised any objections, why are they raising up the matter now,” Sakaja wondered.
Mr Sakaja is vying for Nairobi City County gubernatorial position on a UDA ticket after ditching Jubilee party and has flexed his muscles battling out with Azimio One Kenya Coalition’s governorship candidate Polycarp Igathe
Him, together with Nassir have always been alleged that they didn’t complete their degree courses as they claim and both are running for gubernatorial positions in the major cities of Kenya, that is Nairobi and Mombasa county respectively
