The aspirants eyeing elective seats under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) have until March 20, 2026, to complete registration and payment ahead of party primaries scheduled for March 28, 2026.
The exercise will determine candidates for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary by-election in Narok County and County Assembly contests in Porro Ward, Samburu West, and Endo Ward in Marakwet East
In a notice issued Tuesday, UDA directed all interested candidates to submit their applications through its online system within the set window, warning that failure to comply fully with the process will lock them out of the nominations.

“All aspirants must first register on the UDA portal. Registration is only considered complete after both registration and payment are successfully done through the portal,” the party stated
The digital platform is designed to guide applicants through the process, automatically prompting them to settle nomination fees either through M-Pesa STK push or via Equity Bank once their details are captured.
Only those who complete both steps will be cleared to take part in the primaries.
UDA further outlined the cost of participation, setting a uniform fee of Sh25,000 for all MCA aspirants, including male, female, youth, and persons with disabilities.

The party made it clear that the payments will not be refunded under any circumstances. Aspirants can channel the funds through M-Pesa paybill number 888092 using their ID numbers or deposit directly into the party’s Equity Bank account at the Supreme Centre branch.
National Elections Board Chairman Anthony Mwaura urged those interested to follow the requirements, noting that only those who meet all conditions within the timeline will be considered for nomination.

The preparations come in response to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s announcement of by-elections in the three areas.
n a special gazette notice dated March 13, the Commission stated: “Following the declaration of vacancies… There shall be by-elections in the above-listed electoral areas on Thursday, the 14th May, 2026.”
Political parties are expected to forward the names of their nominees by March 25, 2026, while independent candidates must also submit their details and symbols by the same deadline.
