Several students dead as matatu collides with lorry Nairobi- Nakuru highway; Eyewitnesses rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue the students from the tragic accident.
Preliminary reports indicated that seven students, who sustained injuries in the incident, were rushed to Naivasha County Hospital for emergency healthcare.
Videos seen by our media station, Showed School bags, personal belongings and other stationeries were dispersed all over the scene.
According to Kenya Red Cross, the accident occurred at 1:55 pm when the public servic matatu from SWAT Sacco collided with a transit trailer and lost control before colliding with a lorry.
Red cross stated,”Among the passengers were 11 students and a driver from Mbihi Friends High School. Our KRCS team has set up a tracing desk at the hospital to support the affected families.
