The Senate Standing Committee on Energy has called government to fund projects for construction of dams which will be used to generate hydrogen after the overflowing of the seven folks dams leading to wasteful waters

These sevens folks dams werre constructed in 1960s and we still pretend to be using them instead of constructing high grand folks with modern technology to control damage ccused to human life and properties after their banks grimmed

Kakamega senator alleged there are people in governement who benefit a lot when there’s such disaster caused by flooding and other water related disasters

“It’s only three years ago when people were killed by solai dams overflows. This time there are people who will be benefiting in those amounts set aside instead of coming up with national policy that will address these problems once and for all,” Khalalwe observed

Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana urged the current regime to construct several dams within the lower coastal regions that will be used to convert those waters into hydro power

“We have lost several people and livestock due to these floods year in, year out and this brings to attention that, there’s deliberate efforts by some officials in every successive government to keep our people continue suffering instead of permanent solution,” Mungatana
