UDA Party brings together all University Students leadership to discuss the way forward on governance and leadership

Senate Majority Leader and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has challenged the ruling party to consider giving GenZs the airtime to express their concerns in the governance should they organize another functions
While taking on the podium during the launch of UDA Comrade Chapter where over 2000 university students had converged at Bomas of Kenya to chant the way forward for the youths, Cheruiyot urged Party Secretary General Hassan Omar to give GenZs more airtime to have an interactive session

“I would like to ask the party to give you more space we engage one another, we don’t have to dominate the discussion. It’s good we hear from you even if we disagree on some issues because we don’t have to agree on anything. A fruitful discussion is when we challenge each other because we also want to mentor you to become the leaders of tomorrow,” Cheruiyot counselled the organizers and the youths

While addressing the comrades, Omar noted that he was quite impressive by the Universities’ Student’s leadership who turned up in large numbers from all 47 counties to listen to the policies and strategies of the party going forward
“You are great people, I , Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Governor Cecily Mbarire, Government Spokesperson Dr Isaac Mwaura, and Manyatta MP Githu were all University Students, so am expecting you to take up elective positions come 2027.
Don’t ask where is the money, the party will facilitate you because we need more youthful people in county assemblies, senate and national assembly,” Omar implored the students
UDA National Treasurer and Kitutu Chance lawmaker Japheth Nyakundi attempted to urge the students to become party ambassadors in their respective campuses and also at grassroots level
Nyakundi said, that way, will make the party be strong and explain to Citizens the objectives and strategies they are putting in place to uplift the common mwananchi through Bottom Up Economic Transformative Agenda Model [BETA]
Governments Spokesperson Dr Isaac Mwaura requested the students leadership to educate their classmates in adopting the new university funding model that doesn’t leave any signs of discrimination of the course’s cluster fees

Other leaders who spoke at the function were Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire who doubles up as the UDA Chairperson, imploring young ladies to stand up without fear in the political arena as she revealed that she attempted to vie for an elective post at the age of 24 because of her background of leadership at the campus level
