Nairobi County Senator Johnson Sakaja who’s eyeing for Gubernatorial position on UDA ticket has received a major set back after Commission of University Education revoked his Team’s University Degree Certificate
According to a letter which was seen by safinews.co.ke on Wednesday 15th June, the Commission said after receiving numerous concerns about the University based in Uganda, it will have no options than to revoke Sakaja’s degree certificate pending thorough investigation
“The Commission for University Education has however, received material information concerning the authenticity of the degree certificate you presented from Team University that will require further investigation to ascertain it’s validity of the said degree certificate,” Letter read
The Commissionfor University Education had on 6th June, wrote a letter on institutional accreditation of Team University that awarded him degree certificate on Bachelor of Science in Management (External)
Safi News had reported earlier that University of Nairobi had sought Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) block Johnson Sakaja name from Nairobi gubernatorial candidates over forgery claims
The University wrote a letter to IEBC, distancing itself from a degree certificate that he (Sakaja) claimed to have awarded by the most prestigious institution

According to UoN is that Sakaja enrolled for Bachelor’s degree programme to pursue Bachelor of Actuarial Science but unfortunately never completed nor graduated from the said campus on the dates he claimed to have finished his degree course
Later, Sakaja presented and admitted to Wafula led Commission that he did not graduate from University of Nairobi but instead presented another degree certificate from Ugandan based Team University that he was cleared by IEBC to continue contesting Nairobi’s top seat
