  • Wavinya Ndeti contested in 2013 and 2017 for Machakos Governorship on CCU and Wiper ticket but all lost to Alfred Mutua of Maendeleo Chap Chap party
  • She is now competing with Nzioka Waita of CCU and former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama of UDA
  • On the other hand, Sakaja is fiercely battling out with Azimio-One Kenya’s candidate of Nairobi City County Polycarp Igathe

Machakos gubernatorial candidate on a Wiper ticket Wavinya Ndeti has received major setback after Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai ordered thorough investigation into her academic credentials

In a letter seen by safinews.co.ke on Saturday 18th June, Mutyambai wants Wavinya’s issues of academic qualifications be enjoined to that of Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja who is eyeing Nairobi gubernatorial position

This comes after Wavinya found herself in a difficult situation to explain to IEBC where she graduated from and what type of academic qualifications she possess apart from computer course she undertook in London

According to her, she possesses Bachelor of  Science degree, graduate diploma and advanced diploma  in computer science from London South Bank University, where she joined on July, 1994 and graduated on September 1995.

What is raising eyebrows to kenyans is that, she did a one year course in Microsoft Disk Operating Systems (MS DOS) equivalent to computer application which is a three month certificate course in Kenya

Sakaja on the hand has been ordered by Commission for University Education to present with him ten evidences of his studies in Ugandan based Team University

But Mr Sakaja tells IG and DCI to remove Ms Ndeti’s name out of the mix of academic validity adding that her latter’s name is brought up to sanitise the fight against him from being Nairobi Governor

The CUE wants on Monday 20th June, Sakaja to avail with himself evidences whether he schooled and graduated from the said institution including admission letter, student ID, fees receipts, transcripts, photo of graduation ceremony, names of lecturers taught him among others

The DCI will be closely investigating all loopholes in the duo’s academic qualifications, trying to marshall out transnational academic crime that has disadvantaged many kenyan graduands in the so-called due merit to foreign students
